Maritime Training / Diving Medical Technician (DMT)

  • Course: Basic Air Diving

  • Maximum Course Load: 20 students
  • Minimum Course Load: 8 students

Prerequisites for entering the course

Foreign students must possess a working knowledge of English. Students must have a comfort level in the water and be able to pass a swimming evaluation. Students must also complete and be certified fit for diving by a medical doctor knowledgeable in the requirements of diving. Students must provide their own mask and dive boots. All other equipment will be provided.

Certifications upon Completion

Students will be proficient in all aspects of SCUBA diving and able to serve as a member of a dive team. Students will receive accreditation and certification from the National Association Of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) as a Scuba Diver, as well as a certificate from Tactical Solutions International, Inc. USA as a Militar

Course Overview

This is an 80 hour course and will consist of lecture, practical pool exercises, open water (sea) dives and formal evaluation. All student handouts, workbooks and textbooks will be provided. Major topic areas include:

  • Diving equipment & care
  • Diving Physics
  • Diving Physiology
  • The Diving Environment
  • Diving Emergencies
  • Basic and Advance Dive Table use
  • Use of Dive Computers
  • Introduction to Diving Rescue
