This course of instruction is designed for those persons who are currently qualified shooters with the handgun, sub-machinegun and assault rifle. The course consists of both classroom and range training exercises. This course will introduce the students to our unique concepts of marksmanship that have been developed in accordance with those human physiological, psychological and behavioral actions occurring during lethal force confrontations. The students will learn the importance and performance of daily and first level maintenance on their weapons. They will learn the fundamentals of advanced marksmanship and be able to incorporate these skills into their weapons manipulation and shooting drills throughout the course. At the end of this course the students will have become effective marksmen with their weapons systems and be ready for the following course entitled Tactical Combat Marksmanship that prepares them for the actual shooting situations they may face in the performance of their duties.
Candidate Requirements:
A candidate for this course should be a sworn police officer in good standing in his department, a military soldier or some other official government agent recommended for the course. The candidate must be in good health and possess the proper learning attitude.
