Basic Sniper Marksmanship

This course of instruction is required prior to participation in the Tactical Combat Sniper Marksmanship Training Course. The course consists of both classroom and range training exercises. This course has been developed to prepare the students to react properly and effectively in long-range precision-fire shooting situations. The students will learn about the human behavioral and psychological principles that will affect the sniper in such high stress situations. The students will learn what physical and psychological characteristics a sniper candidate must possess and the strategies employed to teach him the fine art of precision marksmanship and sniper field craft. At the end of this course of instruction the students will have become effective snipers and be ready for any actual sniper situations up to 100 meters they may face in the performance of their job.

Candidate Requirements:

A candidate for this course should be a sworn police officer in good standing in his department, a military soldier or some other official government agent recommended for the course. The candidate must be in good health and possess the proper learning attitude.
