This course of instruction consists of classroom instruction, range training and field exercises. This course has been developed to prepare the student for the tasks associated with using explosive breaching to enter into barricaded target locations. This course is designed to train and certify specialty personnel in the construction and employment of explosive entry techniques. Students will learn the skills necessary to construct and employ, in a safe and effective manner, a variety of explosive entry charges designed to support a tactical resolution to a high-risk situation. These are the most difficult and dangerous of all police/military operations to resolve and require the maximum in readiness and equipment. At the end of this course of instruction the students will be able to employ any of the explosive breaching techniques required to gain entry into a barricaded location. All training is performance-based-training to insure that the participants are absorbing the instructional material by evaluating their ability to successfully put the theory into practice.
