This course of instruction consists of both classroom instruction and field exercises. This course has been developed to prepare the officers for the tasks associated with performing the duties of a police patrol officer during high-risk patrols in a terrorist environment. Students will learn what the current threats are, who are the terrorists, what are their methods of operation and how to safely employ all of the required daily police patrol tasks under such conditions. Students will be able to safely and effectively respond to and handle both the routine and emergency calls for service under such high-risk conditions. All training is performance-based-training to insure that the participants are absorbing the instructional material by evaluating their ability to successfully put the theory into practice.
