This course of instruction consists of both classroom instruction and field exercises. This course has been developed to prepare those personnel who are tasked with re-taking a hijacked commercial airliner, eliminating the threat and safeguarding the passengers. This course can also be tailored to meet the requirements of those first responders (local law enforcement) for the tasks associated with taking over a hijacked aircraft and rescuing the hostages when the terrorists actions demand immediate action and it is not possible to await the tier one (federal) assets. Students will learn how to employ all ground support equipment associated with the airline industry and the tactical procedures required for such high risk operations. All training is performance-based-training to insure that the participants are absorbing the instructional material by evaluating their ability to successfully put the theory into practice.
