This course of instruction is an advanced marksmanship training course that requires the completion of the Basic Marksmanship Training Course. The course consists of both classroom and range training exercises and drills. This course has been developed to prepare the students to react properly and effectively in combat shooting situations. The students will experience the human behavioral and psychological principles that were taught during the Basic Marksmanship Training Course that will affect them during high stress situations. The training is intense and demanding. They will be introduced to “force v. force” marksmanship using a type of non-lethal ammunition that servers to recreate the stresses of combat. They will learn how to engage targets with live persons down-range, utilize cover and concealment correctly, operate as 2-3 man-fighting teams, continue fighting effectively if wounded, and properly transition between weapons when necessary. At the end of this course of instruction the students will have become more effective fighters and be ready for any actual combat shooting situations they may face in the performance of their duties.
