This course of instruction consists of both classroom instruction and field exercises. This course is designed to train an entry-level protection agent in the operational phases of protective security, including, providing security for a protectee at all locations and under any conditions he may encounter. Emphasis is placed on operational skills, use of technology, appropriate routine and emergency behavior and on physical skills necessary to provide a high degree of validity and reliability in the protective organization. This course has been developed to prepare the officers for the tasks associated with performing the duties of a protection officer during VIP movements. All training is performance-based-training to insure that the participants are absorbing the instructional material by evaluating their ability to successfully put the theory into practice. Tactics, techniques and procedures employed in this course of instruction meet or exceed those as taught by the US Secret Service or the US State Departments Protective Services (WPPS).

Candidate Requirements:

A candidate for this course must be a loyal, sworn police officer in good standing in his department, a military soldier or some other official government agent recommended for the course by his government. The candidate must have completed a Basic and Tactical Marksmanship Training Course. He should possess strength of body, mind and character and be a willing learner. He should be a team player and not an individualist.
